Stuck On Mars Redux Part 1
I’m still in the process of renovating a house and moving, and I am grateful for all your kind comments on our celebration of 1,000 comics! I found some time to shoot another short storyline, which ties back to one of the first comics I ever made. Hope you enjoy!
Well it won’t help with the robot thing, but at least he’ll know whether or not she’s a Martian after this.
At least Mikey will have that. 😀
I was reading the archives.. is the crazy Mars Mission guy actually named Carter as in John Carter of Mars????
Bingo!
I love how many times you went back to this well. 😀
– the original Stuck on Mars (http://spacethecomic.com/comic/stuck-on-mars/)
– I feel like there was a mention somewhere, hinting at what happened in a conversation
– the flashback to what actually happened (http://spacethecomic.com/comic/stuck-on-mars-part-2/)
– the audiobook
– the short story (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01NBPMCAV)
– now the Redux
Nothing is more iconic than Schwartz’s failed mission to dispose of his poop. 😀
Also, yay, new comic!
What’s funny is that Schwartz’s epic mission to dispose of his poop, as published in prose form in Jouth, has become widely available. That magazine seems to have spread to libraries and archives across the world. I Google my name and that’s one of the first things that come up. lol

Thank you for compiling this guide to Stuck On Mars! It will always be special to me as the first comic I made with Schwartz. (I think I wrote another story first — maybe “Meteor Madness”? — and didn’t shoot it right away, but I’m not sure at the moment. I do have that original outline, drawn on paper, somewhere.)
I’d love to see that outline if it surfaces during the move. 🙂
My comments do not seem to show up, am I getting auto-moderated for some reason? (They were quite link-heavy to help other people find the previous parts of the Stuck on Mars saga, maybe the site thinks I’m spamming?)
Sorry about that. I think the links did set off the spam filter but they’re approved now.
Two questions:
– Is there a way to subscribe to comments on the site? Either for all comments or just replies to mine. RSS, e-mail, whatever works, I’m just worrying I may miss some replies.
– Have you thought about creating a Patreon for the comic? I dunno what LEGO’s stance is on making money from lego photography, but as The Brick Testament has been published, I assume there _is_ a way. I’d definitely be happy to contribute. 🙂
I just added a checkbox for comment notifications. LMK if that works. I’m very flattered by the Patreon suggestion. The big hesitation I have is that, compared to The Brick Testament, I’m using official sets. So, I’m not sure if I can do that or not.
Thanks, I didn’t expect you to immediately add a notification feature! I’ll start using it and report back.
Yeah, I’d definitely consult LEGO before doing anything related to money, but I think there is a chance they’d let you do it based on others. You never know. 🙂 Using the official sets might or might not be problematic, but I think we can only know for sure if you ask. (If you’re interested at all. I’m not trying to force it on you.)
FYI it works \o/
I wouldn’t worry about it so much if I were Mikey. Even if she is a robot, she can’t possibly be colder than Priscilla.
That is one cold burn!!
