1000 (Part 4)
I’m thrilled to have reached 1,000+ comics but I’ve decided I’m going to stop marking every 100 comics with a special, self-titled comic or storyline. It kinda disrupts the flow of the comic when I’m trying to focus on other plotlines. Maybe I’ll just do it every 1,000 comics. 😉
Is that red guy next to him supposed to be Galanos or Red? Either way, the upper body strength needed to hold that person sized mace is impressive!
Lego people have huge upper body strength. It comes from everyday items like a phone or cup being almost the size of their torsos.
Hahaha, yes, the physiology of LEGO minifigures is something I’d actually like to see explored in detail.
I’ll confirm: That IS Red.
Where’s the skeleton horse, Schwartz? (See fourth or so comic for context: http://spacethecomic.com/comic/shootin-the-solar-breeze-part-1/ )
Great memory! On one hand, that might just have been Schwartz’s mental image of the Black Knight. On the other, it might really be a preview of something in the future…
Nice callback to the dragons storyline
Glad you recall that!! Definite connection.
YES! I’ve finally caught up! You have no idea how many years it has taken me to read this far. I even have the first 800 chapters downloaded so I can read them offline on the bus.
Ronald is by far my favorite character in this series, he’s so painfully relatable and his dynamic with Scouse always brings a smile to my face. When you say “in 1000 issues” you mean over the course of the next 1000 issues, not 1000 issues later… right?
That’s awesome, C! I’m thrilled to think I’m helping to make your commute more tolerable. 🙂 Very happy to hear that Ronald is your favorite. I don’t hear that often, but he is one of my favorite characters to write and comes from just as real a place as Schwartz and Galanos. I’m sorry to say that “1000” is a glimpse of the future (even though it is set in the past).
I did not realize this was the end of the “1000 comics” arc, and now we’re stuck waiting until KDog finishes his move. In any case, I think I’ll check back every week. 🙂
Your enthusiasm has honestly helped light the fire to make time for shooting more comics. “Stuck On Mars Redux” will post weekly for the next several weeks.
Awww, thanks. <3 I'm just overjoyed that I found the comic again.
