Bootlegs Part 6
I’ll admit that I’ve lost track of the timeline in the comic. Even though the comic itself started in early 2008, four years have definitely not passed in the internal story. With so many ongoing characters arcs, each one moves at a snail’s pace in real time. (On a side note, I consider all the Christmas comics I’ve done as having happened in the same year.) For Schwartz and Valkyrie, three months felt about right for where their relationship stands.
– This is not an official LEGO comic. This is a tribute.

This is by far some of my favorite dialogue you have written over this past year 😉 but seriously, really laughed at this one.
Thanks, man. I always enjoy hearing when the dialogue is good. I was afraid some of this might have been too offbeat. But I hate, Hate, HATE cliched dialogue, so I try to avoid it when possible.
I also quite enjoy that it looks like (unless I am wildly mistaken) she is robbing someone by sword point. Any real reason she is outside of her costume or uniform?
You hit that one on the nose. What she’s doing was originally clearer in this comic, but I cut out a whole section from the end that will instead form the next comic.
Although it will be explored in greater detail within the comic, Valkyrie is committing petty crimes for a thrill and not wearing her Blacktron uniform while doing so. (No one knows who she really is, anyway.) The whole “laying low” thing just isn’t in her nature.
