Years ago, when I had Schwartz visit a Space Agency facility working on experimental craft, I gave the lead engineer a Futuron uniform that was all white except for the yellow triangle on the chest. Lo and behold, another example of weird synchronicity between the Commander Black strips and my comic, as you can see from the astronaut here! Even better, in the original Commander Black comic, this character was named Major White! I couldn’t easily make him my Captain Weiss, though, so I regrettably had to omit that connection.
