After 4 hours of shoveling, I certainly felt like this year’s blizzard had a personal vendetta against me.

It delights me to no end when online discussion about the Gamma-V Laser Craft results in shoutouts to Commander Schwartz (probably to the utter confusion of those who have never read this comic). In a recent “Random Set of the Day” article on Brickset, there was a fairly extensive discussion of SPACE: The Comic. Here were a couple of the kind comments received:
“The ship made more famous by SPACE! The webcomic.” – ElephantKnight
“I was going to comment this, certainly what inspired me to track down this one for myself. Shoutouts to Commander Schwartz!” – Drewsko
“The ship is featured as the ship of main character commander Schwartz in the webcomic Space: the comic. It’s a fun read featuring many classic space sets, all the Space subthemes right up to even Space Police III (set in the future of the timeline) and the occasional other set from town, city, dacta, creator and many more in a unique and entertaining story full of colourful characters and charm.” – Binnekamp

LEGO has released a fantastic collection of NASA-inspired sets this year. I’m quite enamored with the Lunar Research Base. Any kind of base with a dome catches my attention. If only I had the room! I rarely buy LEGO sets anymore because I just don’t have the space to store or display them.
