Bootlegs Part 11
When I first started the comic, I was posting three pages a week. Those were good times and and I built up a nice archive pretty quickly. As my days grew busier, I began posting two comics a week, and then one. Eventually there were none a week! I’m trying to keep up with two comics a week these days, but sometimes that means there will be a shorter page like today’s. It can be shocking, I know, when you’re used to 30-panel epics. But I figure it’ll give you something new to read and talk about for a few days, even if the topic is turtles ****ing snails.
– This is not an official LEGO comic. This is a tribute. This also has nothing to do with Best-Lock.

I actually prefer the shorter pages like this. The longer ones are cool but for some reason they take way too much time to load here (they load much quicker at the Duck so I go there to read those) and the lag makes it impossible to post :/
Can’t wait to see this resolve!
The 2012 LEGO sets showed up around here, got myself the smalled DINO set and Olivia’s Invention Workshop (the tools are awesome!). Doesn’t seem like we’ll be getting more Alien Conquest :/ so no Space related theme this year. I did manage to get the Intergalactic Space Girl in minifigure series 6! She’s great, and her online bio even mentions fleets of Blacktron ships, I hope you can use her in your comic. Dangit LEGO give us updated Blacktrons already!
The Grey alien is cool too and doesn’t seem really popular so you could probably grab a few easily.
LOL I didn’t realize the Gamma-V was so sensitive!
I think everyone will forgive you for shorter strips occasionally, especially funny, light-hearted ones like this one and/or if it means more frequent updates. Not to mention it can be interesting (for both the author and the readers) to shake up the format/length of the medium occasionally. I mean one of my favorite Doctor Who stories ever was the 10-parter “The War Games”, but could you imagine if every story was 10 episodes long? Kinda like how the first few seasons of Justice League, every story was a 2 or 3-parter, no matter how much they had to pad out the episodes. UGH. There is such a thing as being too consistent.
Is the phrase “snail ****ing a turtle in a pothole” one of your creation? If not, I will be appropriating it.
I made it up. When I first posted this comic, it said “ditch” instead of “pothole.” I opted to change it because I thought it was funnier and made more sense. But hey, you can borrow it. 🙂
