Date Night II Part 23
I’m hesitant to admit it, but this comic is very autobiographical!
— This is not an official LEGO comic. This is a tribute. Recommended for older kids and adults.

Bombshell after bombshell for poor Galanos. Need a medic on standby for a potential heart attack!
I am kind of dumping on the poor guy in this story. It’s just so much fun! LOL
This installment really shows why Space: The Comic is probably the best Lego photocomic out there. It mixes the ridiculous (the monorail ride) with real, human emotions to great effect. Personally, I think that’s a big part of why the comic as a whole is so good: it doesn’t lose sight of the humor that has just about always defined it, but the characters actually grow and change. The relationships and emotions of the characters are really at the heart of the story, and that is why moments like this one are so effective.
Thank you very kindly, 64studios101. A lot of people enjoy this comic because it features so many LEGO sets – and that’s fine, because that’s a huge part of the fun for me, too! But when I hear that someone really appreciates the characters and their growth, as well as my bent sense of humor, its hugely meaningful. LEGO is a medium we all love but the characters and the story are truly me, and what gives me that most creative satisfaction. Well, the ability to wring kinetic action scenes out of static and limited minifigures is also something in which I take pride, when it works. Thanks again for the kind words!
