I leave it to YOU to decide what The Blacktron Racer was signaling there.

I probably should have explained S&G’s plan sooner, but here ya go.

Poor Red Racer, doesn’t realize her opponents are all undercover operatives/cheats.

Whew, got this comic up today, just 12 hours later than usual. I had planned to shoot new images over the weekend or on Monday but unexpected life shenanigans prevented that from happening. It’s been perhaps irrationally over-important to me to keep to my Sunday-Wednesday posting deadlines because I painfully remember previous years when my update schedule slowly slid off the rails until I wasn’t making comics at all. It helps that today’s installment includes a turn of events that I’ve been anxious to present.

I’m trying to develop a strategy that will help me continue photographing a month’s worth of comics in one night while at the same time telling shorter stories. I believe it requires a calibration to the way I write, placing the action for that session (and at least eight comics) in one setting, like a play. I need to be able to set the “stage” one time and get shooting. As it is, the typical session takes about four or five hours. I wrote “Drag Kings” with a feature-length plot and multiple settings, although at least most are on the same planet. “Back in the Black,” which I’m going to finally complete next, is a super-ambitious story with multiple settings and a variety of characters. I want to complete those tales as scripted, but after that I’m attempting to (for the most part) return to shorter stories or at least plan them out better as not to run myself ragged! As I keep saying, some year I’d like to get to the many pivotal moments I have planned.

So, a little movie called “Avengers: Endgame” comes out this week. I don’t want to spoil anything, but I heard a rumor that Ronald Galanos defeats Thanos by smacking him with a fish.

Let me say, I TRULY appreciate everyone who reads and comments on my comic. And I don’t wanna sound whiney, manipulative and ungrateful. However, I’ve noticed a weird trend I can’t account for other than the notion that “Webcomics Can Be a Cruel Mistress.” Once in awhile, I create a page that I’m really proud of and can’t wait to share. I look forward to the day that page goes live. But on multiple occasions when that’s happened, those have been the comics that uncharacteristically get almost no views or comments (on Drunk Duck primarily). I can’t figure it out. Is the Duck somehow directing people to another page? Did people really hate it? Did everyone spontaneously get sick of me that week? You know the kind of thoughts that run through your head when you’re a fragile creative. lol Anyway, I thought my last comic was one of the best action scenes I ever shot, at least. I even pushed back today’s update 24 hours on Duck to give the last page one more day. :-/
NOTE: I’m taking a brief break this week and will be back with a new comic on Sunday.
