Yeah, I didn’t catch the reflections until way after I took the photos. It’s hard to avoid them when I use the computer screen as a background, but I’ll try harder in the future! The idea for this comic is one I’ve had since near the beginning. The Alien Moon Stalker is one of my favorite Lego sets. It’s creatively designed, cute, has ominous giant missiles, and a second vehicle can be made by combining the head and tail sections. And I also think it happens to look a kitty cat! Meow!
Someone, I don’t recall who, once pointed out to me that the ATV had very small tires and that a joke might come of it. Lo and behold…
There are a lot of conspiracy theories about the moon and, believe it or not, castles being up there is one of them.
Bruce and Cheryl’s original lab shows up (in slightly disassembled form) at the Blacktron base in “Revenge of the Hooting Space Monkeys.”
Oh my God, Verwaand’s ship just flew right off the page and poked me in the eye!
I don’t know why I chose the lightsaber as the artifact, since it wasn’t actually meant to be one, but I still might work this is down the line.
Schwartz’s struggle to name a girl he’s dating still makes me chuckle when I read it. Oh, and in this comic I finally put the correct arms on the Blacktron Commodore! 🙂
I can’t believe it’s taken this long, but Galanos finally has a solo story (w/o Schwartz). This comic ended up reminding me of the beginning of every episode of classic Star Trek. “OMG, Captain, a strange threat is beckoning us from the planet and pretending to be friendly! I know, let’s all beam down!”
Bono gets knocked for his humanitarian efforts, as people seem to view him as self-righteous. But he certainly does more than most of us have ever done in that realm and has the recognition and ability to do it. I might be biased since I love U2, of course.
