RLF Part 1
Schwartz’s new jacket is actually a piece that unexpectedly popped up in recent Lego Town sets, sporting the Classic Space logo. It reminded me of the jackets worn by Starfleet crew in the Star Trek movies, with some “The Next Generation” mixed in.
Specifically, it reminds me of Picard’s “casual” uniform he started wearing in Season 5 of TNG. The one with the velvety looking red jacket and the grayish blue uniform underneath. I’ve always loved that particular uniform and said if I could buy a copy of it, I’d take the Star Fleet emblems off and wear it with jeans for real.
Take the emblems off? BLASPHEMY!
Be Starfleet and proud!
With a space shuttle as part of Lego City, it makes sense that Lego Space is now entirely a part of Lego City as well, I guess.
To think that space travel was science fiction, then in the 1961 it became reality, then in the 1978 Lego Space became a thing, and now manned space exploration of other planets seems now a more remote science fiction than it was when it was originally written about in 1870, even though it had actually happened between 1969 and 1972.
